Business Analyst/UX Researcher

Be a part of a revolution in the agritech industry and help change the way food production is run all around the world!

You would become the expert between farmers and product team. Your results would be input for all the improvements and feature developements. More specifically, you would be collecting domain knowledge (doing business analysis), understanding current problems with the product, and researching, finding and testing solutions for UX problems. The job requires excellent communication and advanced user research skills.

Responsibilities

  • Doing user research for collecting domain knowledge in highly analytical manner.
  • Doing feature analysis to map out user problems and expectations.
  • Testing prototypes with farmers in Estonia and around the world.
  • Meeting farmers in real life for all the above.
  • Sketching wireframes for user testing of possible solutions.
  • Organising domain knowledge in central wiki.
  • Working with developers and designers in building the product and iterating on results.
  • Analysing the product changes and mapping out the hard spots.

The ideal candidate

  • At least 3 years of professional experience as Business Analyst or UX researcher.
  • Excellent grasp of qualitative research - user interviews, mapping user problems in IT domain, testing prototypes.
  • Understanding of quantitative research - analysing user behaviour through numbers.
  • Excellent communicative skills and high empathy.
  • Analytical and creative thinking.
  • Knows fundamentals of scientific data collection and analysis.
  • Able to solve problems on her/his own while also being a good communicator and team player.
  • Willingness to be extremely customer focused and data-driven.
  • Owns B-category driving license.
  • Lives or willing to relocate to Tartu, Estonia.
  • Huge bonus: Has worked professionally as graphical designer, has experience with prototyping and front-end development.

In a landscape dominated by paper, pen and notebook solutions; excel and dinosaur desktop software, eAgronom.com is an intuitive farm management system that allows farmers on any technical skill level to plan, manage and analyze their activities in one place, in the simplest way possible.

Journey so far

We launched in August 2016, got investor backing in November and in less than 6 months, 70% of Estonian cereal land was using eAgronom. The next step was starting an international team and launching in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Again, it is time to expand, and we’re building our team from 20 people to 30+ by October.

We are currently hiring salespeople in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany who are eager to make things happen.

  • Writing unit and acceptance tests for the code - quality comes first!
  • Mostly writing Ruby, but we also have React Native, Elixir and Kotlin

  • Experimenting with technologies and introducing new design patterns
